1.  Why the change to the new system?
The original Webmail application has not been supported or updated by the vendor for some time now and was susceptible to security and spamming issues, which required the change for ACNS. The new product is called RoundCube.

2.  UPDATED - How come the system uses ‘myeID@lamar.acns.colostate.edu’ as the sender address? Did my address change?
This issue no longer exists..

3.  How do I migrate my address book from the old Webmail?
ACNS has developed a website that allows you to export your address book from the old system. Instructions are available on that site for then importing your contacts into the new system. Please see: https://acnswsa.colostate.edu/wmabexport/login.asp.

4.  Can I create email groups or distribution lists?
No. Most webmail programs do not contain this functionality, and Roundcube does not currently support distribution lists. This feature is being added in future revisions of RoundCube and will be evaluated as soon as it is available. ACNS is also looking at other alternatives for allowing users to use distribution lists. More to come.

5.  How do I send a message to multiple recipients?
In the address book, press the Ctrl-key while selecting the names of the email recipients, and then choose ‘Compose mail to’ (the pencil icon).

6.  How do I save a copy of the mail I send in the Sent Folder?
- Select the "Personal Settings" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Special Folders" section.
- Click on the ‘Sent’ pull down menu and select ‘Sent’.
- Press the Save" button at the bottom of the page

Be sure to test the change by sending an email, then checking your Sent folder to be sure it has a copy of the email sent.

7.  Can I have a signature automatically added to the end of the messages I send?
Yes. Follow these steps:
- Select "Personal Settings".
- On that screen, select "Identities".
- Double click on your email address.
- Fill in the text you want included as your signature.
- Press “Save” button on the bottom of the screen.

8.  Why do I see the sender of the message instead of the recipient in the Sent Folder?
Your Sent folder is not configured properly. Please see the answer above about correctly configuring your Sent folder.

9.  How can I delete an email without opening it?
Hold down the Ctrl-key while you select the message(s), and then click on the ‘Send message to trash’ icon. To select a continuous range of messages, hold down the Ctrl-key to select the first message, and then hold down the Shift-key and select the last message, and click on the ‘Send message to trash’ icon.

10.  UPDATED - Is there a directory I can use to look up CSU people?
Yes. The system searches the on-line CSU directory and your personal address book and will display matching entries as you enter addresses into the ‘Recipients’ area. You can also search the CSU directory or your personal address book by choosing ‘Address Book’ and then either ‘Personal Addresses’ or ‘Colorado State Directory’.

12.  How do I send or forward email to someone in my address book?
After choosing to create, reply or forward, click in the 'Recipient' dialog box and begin typing the name (or email address) of the intended recipient. Roundcube will display a drop-down list with matches from your address book. Use the mouse to select the desired name or address.

12.  I received an email message but the body of the message doesn’t display. What should I do?
To see if there is additional content in the message, choose ‘Personal Settings’ and uncheck the box labeled ‘Display HTML’. After saving the configuration change, try viewing your message again.
